A slower paced, yet challenging class for those with prior yoga experience focusing on variations of poses for varying levels with attention to alignment and breath. You may find some flows in this class as well as movement and postures leading toward a main 'peak' pose.

Mat/Chair Yoga

Build strength, increase flexibility and improve balance all while calming and quieting the mind through body and breath awareness. A person of any age can deal with a chronic or temporary physical condition, be it arthritis or other joint pain or physical weakness. For those reasons, you can practice this class using a chair, or just your mat or a combo of the two.

Gentle Yoga is a class structured around rejuvenating and creating fluid movement in the body. Yoga props such as blankets, blocks, bolsters, and straps are often used for safe practice, and to allow the body to fully achieve each position comfortably. This class is held at a slower pace and focuses on stretching all areas of the body, while releasing stress and tension from joints and muscles.

Based on the movements of Joseph Pilates, this class will strengthen your core, lower back, inner and outer thighs, glutes, and arms by using light weights, exercise bands, playground balls, and Pilates rings.
